Hi readers!
It´s been awhile. We had a weeklong break from school, and I have mostly been hanging at home with my fiancé and watching movies. I also finished my first assignments for the spring semester. I have been looking for summer jobs a lot. I promised to sub at a Steiner day care, but I have not had any shifts yet and as a student who does not get any government benefits, money is tight now. I would have loved to work at a library for the upcoming summer, but they take mainly 15 to 18 years old teens or students who have almost finished their studies so no luck on that front.
School continued Monday and it´s been interesting to dive deeper into Finnish literature and communal reading. Our first year of school ends in May and it feels kind of weird that it´s been almost a year since I started my journey to become a librarian which has been my dream job since I have been like nine years old. We also celebrated for dating four years and being engaged for two in end of February which also feels kind of odd.
We started seeing each other in January in 2020 so right before lockdowns happened and if somebody had told me then that I would be dating the guy I met through Tinder for over four years I would have laughed. I love my fiancé and I cannot wait to marry him (I wish we could decide the date so we could really get on with the planning)! He is my first serious relationship and for him I am his third relationship overall but second serious and first in which he does not have to be on his toes all the time. His parent´s love me and I am clearly part of his family. Which is awesome because I like them, and they have two cats which I get to fill my need for a pet with.
So, nothing major now. Spring is slowly coming, and sun is shining. I wish you have a great day and find something beautiful in it. :)
Moikka lukijat!
Pieni päivitys tähän väliin. Meillä oli talviloma ja se kului lähinnä kotona elokuvia katsomalla. Kävimme avopuolisoni kanssa hänen vanhempiensa luona Teuvalla. Tein samalla koulutehtävän ja sain ensimmäiset palautukset tälle keväälle. Täytin myös lemmikinpuutosta avopuolison perheen kissoilla.
Tuntuu oudolta, että ensimmäinen kouluvuosi on kohta paketissa ja olen hieman lähempänä unelmani saavuttamista. Oudolta tuntuu myös se, että juhlistimme seurustelleemme neljä vuotta ja olleemme kihloissa kaksi vuotta helmikuussa. En silloin 2020 tammikuussa arvannut, että Tinderissä tapaamani mies on rinnallani vielä neljänkin vuoden jälkeen.
Olen etsinyt kesätöitä melkein epätoivon vimmalla. Opiskelijana, joka ei saa valtion tukia, rahat ovat tiukalla. Sain sijaistuspaikan Steiner-päiväkotiin tähän lähelle, mutta vuoroja ei ole ollut. Olisin halunnut kirjastoon kesätöihin, mutta he ottavat lähinnä 15–18-vuotiaita nuoria tai opintonsa melkein valmiiksi saaneita tai jo valmistuneita, joten ei onnea sillä rintamalla.
Ei siis mitään erikoista tällä hetkellä. Aurinko paistaa ja kevät alkaa pikkuhiljaa hiipiä esiin. Toivottavasti sinulla on hyvä päivä ja löydät siitä jotain kaunista. :)
